Our team is formed by dancers, musicians, photographers, videographers, tailors, HMUA, friends, and family who volunteer their time, money, and labor to perform cultural art shows, as well as contribute to community outreach events.

Our team is happy, focused, and safe, but some of them cannot afford to participate. With your help, we plan to continue raising money for all who want to join us. This team allows those who would normally not be able to come, the opportunity to learn and apply their skills with our dedicated art instructors and be part of our growing community.

​

The bulk of our costs goes to costumes (purchasing, maintaining, dry cleaning, repairing, and storing). After that, it's the rental of studio space for our music and dance teams. We also would like to provide drinks and lunches for our team members during rehearsals; as well as transportation for those who need it. Finally, it is extremely important we compensate our artists and team members for their work at events. One day we hope to also send our instructors and team members to take workshops from leaders in the folkloric dance community around the US and other countries too.

The second part of our work is community outreach. Our goal is to organize at least 1 event per month to help our local Portland OR community in some way; beach clean-ups, making and delivering meals for the houseless, organizing fundraisers for a community member, etc. We want to be an inspiring leader in the immigrant community.

Our connections with our community are very important to us and we seek to develop and maintain relationships for years to come.
